Arrochar Chippy

Fast Food

Pretty poor. Chips appear to be frozen and most items deep fried in a small scale deep fryer.

Mr Pia’s
Chip Shop Inveraray

Fast Food

Recently refurbished the take away food is okay but avoid the chicken pakora.  Yet to visit the restaurant.

The Grey Gull Inn, Ardrishaig

Fast Food

Day time cafe area serves large portions of typical lunch time food including fish & chips and pizza. Still to try the restaurant

Annabel’s
Arrochar

Cafe

Below average and often closed when it should be opened.

James Duncan Cafe
Benmore Gardens Dunoon

Cafe

Large cafe located near the entrance to the gardens. Can get busy given the number of visitors but lunch time menu and cafe snacks are reasonable.

The Poachers Inveraray

Cafe

Lovely location adjacent to the pier.  Service first class, decor garish and cappuccino coffee served in transport cafe cups. Fayre no better than average for Scotland..

The Waterside Cafe
Crinan Canal

Cafe

Excellent location and some lovely home baking make this Tea Room a must.
Not open all year.

The Tree Shop Cafe
Loch Fyne

Cafe

Adjacent to Loch Fyne Oysters the cafe serves reasonable food but  it’s let down badly by the disposable cups.

Still Game
Arrochar

Cafe
Restaurant

Have only tried the cafe so far which was mediocre but the restaurant appears to enjoy a good reputation. Watch this space.

The George Hotel Inveraray

Pub Food

Open fires in winter.  Good pub food, generally good service, though menu sells out and quality is sometimes variable.

The Taj Mahal Lochgilphead

Restaurant

Small Indian restaurant on the front street as you enter Lochgilphead. No bar but you can bring your own drinks.

The Loch Melfort Arduaine

Restaurant

Good quality restaurant food and lovely views over the bay. Would recommend.
Hotel accommodation in annex lets it down a bit as a place to stay.
